This shingle clad residence sits among 70 acres of woods and apple orchards in the western Massachusetts town of Colrain. A hybrid post and beam frame is surrounded by triple glazed windows and double-framed exterior walls filled with cellulose insulation. Constructed by builders Jenks/Miller/Wynne, this house received Energy Star Tier 3 certification.
